Commercial credit insurance
(Short term export insurance against commercial risk)
Objective
MBDP provides short-term export insurance against commercial risk. Insurance is an instrument for risk management, by which claims that the enterprise has on the basis of performed export, are protected from the negative effects caused by bankruptcy or protracted default by the buyer.
MBDP follows the Interanational rules for export credit insurance in its work.
Commercial risks – subject to insurance
- Bankruptcy of the buyer abroad
- Protracted default of the liabilities by the buyer abroad
In the event of loss, as a result of the impossibility to collect the claims from the foreign buyers due to commercial risk, MBDP indemnifies 90% of the loss.
Advantages of the export insurance:
- Certainty in the collection of export claims,
- Higher export competition, i.e. offer of conditions identical to those offered by the foreign companies,
- Increased volume of export transactions,
- Entrance on new foreign markets,
- Gathering insurance and export credit information at one place,
- Possibility to use the insurance agreement as collateral with the commercial banks.
MBDP is a full right member of the Prague Club of insurers of export credits and investments. |
