MBDP organizes a Regional conference intended to Banks and Export Crecit Agencies. It will be held in Strtuga, hotel DRIM, on 15-16 june 2006.

The Mission of Macedonian Bank for Development Promotion is to facilitate the growth of the Macedonian companies by providing financial sources and promote Macedonian export. In order to provide better services, in year 2001 MBDP has introduced trade credit insurance and took the role of a national Export Credit Agency.
In the times of tough competition between national economies, ECAs have an important role to fulfill, namely to establish entry or secure a position in export markets. In that spirit, MBDP became a member of the Prague Club in 2001 and signed several cooperation agreements with similar institutions in the region and wider. In order to deepen and strengthen the cooperation, MBDP is organizing The First Regional Conference of Export Credit Agencies.
The main objective of this Conference is to bring together regional ECAs to communicate better the opportunities and challenges of the regional trade and cooperation and how it deals with the countries economies.
Following the European Commissions' positive strategy on Union enlargement and developments towards transforming the region through the European perspective, the Conference will raise two crucial topics:
    - Regional cooperation - best way for adapting the region towards European future, and
    - The role of Ex-Im Banks and ECAs for improving the regional cooperation

We find this conference to be of interest for the regional ECA's as it could create advantage not only for Macedonian economy but also it is a fair contribution towards greater economic and political integration in the region.
The Conference will be held on 15-16 June 2006 in Struga in hotel Drim. It will be organized in the traditional format of lively moderated discussions that generate substantial audience participation.

18.07.2005. We inform all our WEB visitors that the new adress of MBDP is "Veljko Vlahovic" no 26, Skopje.
Starting from the 01.01.2005, MBDP performs a new way of insurance, under a new name of the financial product - commercial credit insurance.

The companies, which on the basis of the commercial contract sell to the foreign buyers without collateral, are exposed to the potential financial damage. Such financial damage may arise from the commercial or political risks, if the buyer does not pay for the goods or services which are subject to the commercial contract on the day of the maturity.

In order to help the exporters included in such activities, the commercial credit insurance is an instrument, by which the companies are protected, in a high percentage of the amount of the unpaid invoice after the goods are sent and invoiced, during the insurance period.

Though this financial product MBDP covers 90% of the insured export.

Further information about this financial product, please find in the part of the insurance on our website.
