PROMOTION OF THE NEW DIGITAL PLATFORM FOR E-INSURANCE BY THE DEVELOPMENT BANK

Macedonian companies will have easy and fast access to credit insurance

  

On 8 May 2026, a promotion event for the new E-Insurance platform was held at the premises of the Development Bank of North Macedonia AD Skopje, attended by the Bank’s management, the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Switzerland in North Macedonia, representatives of the IME Programme for Increasing Market Employability, representatives of ASEE Skopje, and members of the media.
 

     


The Credit Insurance and Factoring team presented the platform’s functionalities and explained the benefits that domestic export companies will gain from using the platform, particularly:

  • Greater efficiency through reduced administrative procedures
  • Reduced operational risks
  • Faster decision-making for a more efficient commercial strategy and stronger market positioning
  • A tool for proper receivables management
     
     
 
The Development Bank is the only bank in the country offering this product. Experience has shown that domestic companies recognize it as an instrument that helps overcome certain challenges and generates positive effects on their operations. Receivables insurance enables companies to enter new markets where collection risks are present, which also affects the liquidity of domestic companies.

The Chief Executive Officer, Efimija Dimovska, expressed gratitude to the Government of the Swiss Confederation and the IME Programme for their unwavering support, as well as to the ASEE Skopje team for their contribution to implementing this project. She emphasized that any future support for the digitalization of the Bank's processes is highly welcomed.

The Deputy Head of Mission at the Swiss Embassy highlighted that this initiative represents more than just a technological upgrade for the Development Bank - it is a clear step forward in strengthening the competitiveness of Macedonian companies. She expressed satisfaction that the Development Bank remains committed to introducing new tools, following international trends, and implementing digital solutions in key sectors of the economy, noting that “digitalization is not an option, but a necessity — especially in today’s uncertain environment.”
 

     


The IME representative particularly thanked the Bank, and especially the Credit Insurance and Factoring team, for their readiness and commitment to digitalization processes.
