Development Bank at the regular annual meeting of the Berne Union, Prague Club
Development Bank of North Macedonia participated in the regular annual meeting of the Berne Union – Prague Club, attended by 90 organizations and more than 200 delegates from the global export finance industry.
As every year, the meeting began with discussions on business trends from the previous year, after which the member organizations shared recent business developments with a focus on strategic priorities. Discussions covered topics such as concentration risk management and portfolio diversification, political and commercial risk assessment in current markets, the methodology, purpose, and development of OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) country risk ratings, exchange of experiences and examples related to economic growth and ecosystems, support for export-oriented companies provided by domestic institutions, and other related matters.

The Berne Union is an international union of credit and investment insurers comprising more than 90 state export credit organizations worldwide. In 2025, members of the Berne Union supported USD 3.7 trillion cross-border trade.

The Prague Club, as an integral part of the Berne Union, is an international network of more than 35 credit agencies whose level of support to global trade, in terms of size and volume, is smaller compared to the support provided by the members of the Berne Union. The primary objective of this association is to support its members in the development of short-term and long-term export credit insurance and financing.
