The Development Bank of North Macedonia continues to intensify international cooperation
Following the activities to intensify international cooperation, especially the cooperation with the development financial institutions from the region, the Development Bank of North Macedonia, at the invitation of the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia, participated in the International Conference "Models for Financial Development in the Western Balkans" which was held on May 24, 2024, in Belgrade.
At the panel discussion titled: "Development financial institutions as important incentive for accelerating the economic development of countries", the head of the Plan and Analysis Department, Dr. Goran Kovachev, emphasized that DBNM JSC Skopje, as the only development bank in the Republic of North Macedonia, in full state ownership, strongly supports the growth and development of micro, small and medium enterprises in the state through its wide range of products. Dr. Kovachev referred to the intense growth of the Bank in the last few years and added that the Development Bank, in accordance with the strategic goals of the state, will continue to support domestic companies in the next period, offering them extremely favorable conditions for financing, while finding additional funds for that purpose from established international financial institutions.
According to the participants of the Conference, the Development Bank of North Macedonia is a good model by which development funds in the region could evolve and transform their operations as development banks in the future.
