Supporting Sustainability for Businesses in North Macedonia

Through a joint initiative with the Government, the Development Bank of North Macedonia, and local commercial banks, EIB Global has supported 120 companies with financing for 150 green projects - from solar panels and energy-efficient upgrades to advanced recycling technologies.
 

Part of the success stories include the following companies:
- Vitaminka – Macedonian food company, installs solar panels,
- LTH Learnica (LTH Casting) – car parts producer, enhances the automation to cut emissions and increase productivity,
- Dema Stil– toy manufacturer from Kriva Palanka, reduces energy consumption,
- Otpad Ohrid – wastemill company from Ohrid, increasing its recycling capacity due to new machinery,
- Kiro Dandaro Printing House – modernising printing and packaging processes towards more efficient, productive, and greener production,
- Buchen Kozjak – dairy producer from Kumanovo, modernizes the production processes,
- Hotel Pamela – expanding the modern hospitality offer in Negotino,
- Dental Craft– a dental office and laboratory from Skopje gets sophisticated prosthetics equipment.

These efforts are not only reducing emissions and supporting Climate Acrtion, but also creating jobs and strengthening the local economy.
