Objective of the loan:

This credit line aims to finance investments and the development of MSMs.

Purpose of the loan:

Financing of projects in micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs according to the EU definition) with a positive impact on creating new jobs, where the purchase of fixed assets is envisaged, such as: construction, renovation and modernization of buildings directly related to the project, equipment and machinery, hardware, software and digital technology.

Sources of funds:

Council of Europe Development Bank in the amount of EUR 50.000.000.
(Up to 70% of the credit potential of the credit line)

Eligible beneficiaries:

Potential beneficiaries may be micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMs according to the EU definition), registered in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Terms and conditions of the loan:

Single loan amount for the final borrower:	Minimum amount of EUR 5.000 Maximum amount of EUR 1.400.000
Repayment period:	Up to 8 years.
Grace period included:	Up to 1 year.
Interest rate for the borrowers:	It is to be determined upon withdrawal of funds/the tranche from CEB.
Manner of repayment:	Quarterly.
Participation of CEB funds in project financing:	Up to 70%.
Disbursement to and repayment by the intermediary bank:	Foreign currency (EUR).
Bans and exclusions:	Maximum project value per MSME is EUR 2.000.000, Up to 70% of the project value is credited, It is not allowed to lend working capital for the implementation of projects in the field of: renewable energy sources (unless the purchase of solar panels is for the purpose of obtaining energy for one's own needs), schools and faculties, hospitals, factoring, tobacco production, ore mining, chemical industry and artificial fertilizers, coal and oil industry, processing of nuclear fuel, manufacture of weapons and military equipment, financial and insurance activities, real estate activities and gambling.
