The State Audit Office (SAO) published the final report on the audit of the financial statements and compliance audit for 2020 of the Development Bank of North Macedonia AD Skopje (DBNM). With the audit performed, the SAO expressed an unreserved opinion on the reality and objectivity of the financial statements, as well as on compliance with the legal regulations, guidelines, and established policies.

In 2020, the Bank increased its credit potential by 13% compared to the previous year and achieved a profit of MKD 31.8 million.

In 2021, the Bank continued its trend, and increased its total assets by 21% with a corresponding growth of the credit portfolio of 19%, growth of the credit insurance portfolio of 38%, and factoring by 11%. In 2021, the bank achieved a positive net financial result of MKD 39.6 million.

In the period 2020-2021, the Bank implemented several low-interest credit lines to support companies during the Covid crisis. It established a credit guarantee scheme and introduced a new product - customs guarantees.

The SAO opinion unreservedly confirms once again that the operation of the Bank, i. e. the activities, financial transactions, and information reflected in the financial reports of the Bank, in all material aspects, all comply with the legal regulations, guidelines, and established policies.

In 2022, DBNM has continued to work in this direction, increasing credit potential, finding new sources of financing, as well as co-establishing new credit lines aimed at supporting companies in times and conditions of energy and economic crisis.
